The short version
QR Vault does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you enter, upload or scan is sent to any server.
What data we collect
We do not collect any data from your use of QR Vault. The URLs you enter, the WiFi credentials you type, the contact details you fill in, the images you upload and the barcodes you generate are all processed locally on your device. None of this information is transmitted to our servers or any third party.
How the tools work technically
All QR code generation, barcode generation and image scanning runs using JavaScript in your browser. When you generate a QR code, the pattern is drawn on a canvas element on your screen. When you scan an image, the image is read from your local file system and decoded in memory. No network request is made during any of these operations.
Camera access
If you use the camera scanning feature, QR Vault will request access to your device camera through your browser. This access is used only to capture a live video stream for real-time scanning. No video is recorded, saved or transmitted. Camera access can be revoked at any time in your browser settings.
Third party libraries
QR Vault uses three open source JavaScript libraries loaded from public CDNs: QRCode.js for generating QR codes, JsBarcode for generating barcodes, and jsQR for decoding QR codes from images and camera. These libraries run locally in your browser and do not send data to their respective CDN providers beyond the initial file download.
Cookies and analytics
QR Vault does not use cookies. We do not run any analytics or tracking scripts on this tool. We have no way to identify individual users or track what codes they generate or scan.
